Attach an 8"x10" resume to the back of each picture. DO NOT include your address or phone number. Clients contact you through us, not directly. If we run out of headshots, we will call you. You can either mail them or bring them in. Our office hours for talent are: Monday through Friday, 10 am - 12 noon and 2 pm - 4 pm.
When calling the office in response to a page or message, please identify yourself using your first and last name and the name of the project if you know it.
It is essential that you bring a picture/resume to every audition and callback, including those held at our office. Always have our agency's name and telephone number on your resume. We do our best to give you all the information you need about each audition. But don't hesitate to ask about location, wardrobe, rate, callback and shoot dates, etc. It is your responsibility to inform the auditor of any date conflicts. It is also important to arrive 10 minutes early: to see copy; to be informed; and to ensure you'll be on time. For on-camera auditions try to stay away from certain colors: black, white, red, splashy prints and patterns.
If you are booked for a job, we will contact you with as much information as we have. Occasionally, you may be "iced." This means that you are being considered but the client is still in a decision-making mode, and they want to confirm you availability. If you are "iced," the client has the "right of first refusal" for the shoot date, meaning you must call us before accepting any other commitment for that date.
Talent rates are negotiated on a per-job basis. Be sure you know the rate for each booking. Do not discuss rates with clients or other talent -- that's our job. We collect a 15% commission from talent on all bookings other than print, which is a 20% commission. This commission will be deducted from the talent's gross rate.
You must have a voucher filled out (as completely as possible) and signed for every booking. Vouchers are used to detail the work you do so that we can bill the client correctly. It must be turned in to the office within 5 business days. A delay in returning your voucher will delay our billing the client, which will delay your payment and the payment of all other talent on the job. KEEP YOUR COPY OF THE VOUCHER. Also, please do not send us self-addressed stamped envelopes.
We do not hold on to talent money. The day that our bank confirms receipt of payment from the client, your check is mailed to you. If you have not been paid 70 days after the shoot and want to call to inquire, you must have your copy of your voucher so that we can reference the job details. Without the "Invoice to:" information and exact job date, we cannot answer your questions.
Please do not call us weekly or include us in your "rounds." Only call us if you are going to be out of town or if your phone number or address change.
